Recruitment to the Training for the Post of Public Health Nursing Officer (Fourth Batch)

The government has initiated a program to recruit Nursing Officers as Public Health Nursing Officers (PHNOs) for Healthy Lifestyle Centers across Sri Lanka. This initiative aims to enhance the public health sector.

Eligibility Criteria:

1. Minimum of two (02) years of service as a Nursing Officer.
2. Physically fit and below 45 years of age.
3. Must have earned all prescribed salary increments and completed two years of active and satisfactory service.

Selection Process:

• Applications will be screened based on qualifications.
• Selection will be done by seniority.
• If multiple candidates have the same appointment date, final examination results from Nursing School will be considered.

Application Process:

• Applications should be submitted through the respective Heads of Institutions.
• Deadline for applications: February 10, 2025.
• The selected candidates will undergo one year of training at the Post Basic Nursing School.
• Upon completion, they must serve a minimum of four years at their assigned Healthy Lifestyle Center.

Financial Commitment:

• Selected candidates must enter a surety bond of Rs. 150,000 with the Ministry of Health.
• If they withdraw from training or leave early, they must repay all allowances and training expenses.
