Hundreds of Sri Lankan nurses go on strike in Sri Lanka

Hospitals around the country experienced disruptions to daily activities as a consequence of the trade union action launched by nurses where they claimed sick leave and refrained from reporting to duties today.

It has been reported that work Colombo National Hospital wards experienced issues in providing care to patients today.

According to the media reports strike had not affected the services in the Apeksha Cancer Hospital, Lady Ridgeway Children’s Hospital and the De Soysa Maternity Hospital, in capital Colombo.
