A six-day long strike action by nurses has forced Sri Jayawardenapura Hospital operations to a standstill.
The staff are staging this strike action against the installation of a fingerprint attendance system at the hospital.
The Public Services United Nurses’ Union commenced a strike action a week ago and claim that 500 of its members are engaged in the strike action.
According to the Director of the Sri Jayawardenapura Hospital Dr. Susith Senaratne, all activities have come to a standstill.
